Apologies for the lack of updates this year!
We have played a few concerts this year with Christmas being our busiest period. We played with the Burton Joyce Choral Society at their summer and Christmas performances, which has been a great new collaboration!
We once again played at Phoenix Farm Methodist Church this Christmas and also played at Stonebridge City Farm Christmas market. In addition, the group played with the choir at Morven Park Primary School; this used to be a regular fixture, but the last time we played together was 10 years ago. We hope to continue this link for future years!
2022
01/10/22 - Charity concert on behalf of The Ark. The Ark is a community meeting place and advice centre. The charity was founded by five local churches and donations help to fund activities and groups to support the community. A concert was held at Phoenix Farm Methodist Church which raised £120 for The Ark. A big thank you to those who attended and to the volunteers from the church who helped to manage the event.
11/06/22 - We were able to finally play a memorial concert for Jack and Carole at Calverton Baptist Church. We were privileged to be joined by Newstead Abbey Singers and solo singers Dave Thompson and Judith Fox. Macey accompanied us on the triangle during one of our pieces and took centre stage to perform her own dance to one of our favourite tunes. We raised £198.87 which will be divided between Parkinson's UK and Cancer Research UK.
Thank you to everyone that came to support us and to family, friends and community members who worked hard to make the event a success!
